LearnCurio is a gallery of interactive learning builds, run by Annie Kiele Brown. This page explains what we collect when you use it, why, who helps us run it, and what you can do about it. We keep it to what the site needs. We don’t sell your information and we don’t show ads.

what we collect

• Your account: your email address and password (stored scrambled, never readable). If you sign in with Google, we get your name, email, and profile photo from Google.
• Your profile: your name, username, photo, role, organization, and website, if you add them.
• What you share: builds you submit (links, screenshots, HTML files, videos, descriptions, and remix prompts), comments, and boards.
• What you do on the site: the builds and comments you heart, what you save to boards, and comments you report.
• People you invite: the email address of anyone you invite to a board, so we can send them the invite.
• Requests: your name, email, and message if you ask us to remove a build or fix its credit.
• On your device: a sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in, and an unfinished submission saved in your browser so you don’t lose it. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

what’s public

Your profile, the builds you publish, your comments, and your public boards can be seen by anyone. Private boards are seen only by you and the people you invite. Your email address is never shown on the site.

how we use it

• To run LearnCurio: sign you in, show your builds and boards, and keep your saves.
• To send emails you ask for, like board invites.
• To keep the site fair and safe: for example, counting how often you use the Claude helper (there’s a daily limit) and reviewing reported comments.
• To answer your requests and feedback.

services that help run LearnCurio

These companies handle some of your information for us, only to do their part:

• Supabase stores the site’s data and uploaded files, and handles sign-in.
• Vercel hosts the website.
• Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
• Anthropic (Claude) reads the link, screenshot, or file you give it when you choose “Let Claude draft it,” so it can draft your listing.
• Microlink takes a screenshot of your build’s link when you submit one without a picture.
• Resend sends emails, like board invites.

keeping and deleting your information

We keep your information while you have an account. You can delete your own builds, comments, and boards at any time. To delete your whole account and everything in it, go to Settings, then Account management, and choose Delete account; it happens straight away. If you can’t sign in, email byuanniebrown@gmail.com and we’ll do it within 30 days. Copies in backups are removed as those backups expire.

your choices

You can see and change your profile in Settings at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Email us and we’ll help.

LearnCurio is for people 16 and older.

changes

If we change how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. For big changes, we’ll let you know on the site or by email.
